The Olympic Peninsula : September is definitely the time for a quick, end-of-summer getaway. The weather is perfect, the crowds are thin, and the agenda is non-existant. This September, Mom, Sarah and I set out for the peninsula. We started in Port Angeles, and proceeded to the Hurricane Ridge area. After camping high up at Deer Park, and a quick lunch at Crescent Lake, we headed West to Forks and the coast, including Ruby Beach, the Mora Campground, Rialto Beach, and Cape Flattery (the Northwesternmost point in the lower 48). It's crazy to even try to capture the "bigness" of this place, but I'm determined to try.
