India 2017: Hyderabad

During our visit, Hyderabad was our home base. It's where Ambika grew up, and where some of her family still lives. I'm still trying to figure out why it isn't mentioned in any of our guide books, because it has SO MUCH to offer. Be sure to check out the short travelogue videos at the beginning!

  • The Birla Mandir Hindu Temple in Hyderabad.  It was built using 200 tons of pure white marble.  Unfortunately, no cameras allowed inside.  That was a shame, because the lake views from the top were spectacular...

  • Annapurna Studios is home to the Annapurna International School of Film and Media, where Ambika's husband, Bala, is the Dean of Students.  It was right next to our hotel.
