Traditional Mongolian dumplings. These were fried, and contained meat (but can also contain potatoes, onions, etc.). Think samosa, only lighter.

• I'm still kicking myself for not buying this...
• The State Department Store in UB. "All Needs are Fulfilled." Best tagline ever.
http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g293956-d7084045-r237065844-The_State_Department_Store-Ulaanbaatar.html
• Look! I met up with Simon and Usukhbold, two blokes I met up with on my first trip to Mongolia back in 2011! It is, indeed, a small, small world...
• Look! It's Tunga! Tunga is a member of the faculty at MNUE, and an Education for Sustainable Development specialist. We first met in Toronto (of all places) at an ESD/UNESCO conference. Again with the small world sentiment...
• Please do NOT pick cigarettes up off the floor. They do not belong to you.
• We got to see the Parliament in action (and the tour that comes with it)! Very cool...
• Mongolian National Crest.
• Wrestling is one of the three "Manly Sports" (along with horseback riding and archery) and is celebrated every July at the annual Naadam Festival.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naadam

• No words. You just had to experience it.
• The wheel.
• I have no idea what this is, but it's badass.
• So much was happening in this mural. Sexy women pointing at weightlifters, boxers boxing over a sexy chess player. It was advertising student clubs at one of the universities, but something tells me they missed their mark.
• Oh, yeah...
• No words, Olivia. No words.
• This was a shamanistic monument that we passed on the way out to the countryside. I don't know much about it, other than that the colors of the hair are meaningful--white for peace, and dark for war. From the looks of it, we're kind of in-between?
